SURGERY DAY
This is Petie. He is an 11 year old dachshund mix with a thyroid tumor in his neck the size of a large egg.
Petie went to Blue Pearl this morning for a very intricate surgery to remove the tumor and send it off for pathology. After this is done, we will know how to proceed with either oncology, or if super lucky, it could be benign but this is rare with these tumors. The good news is his bloodwork is good and they did not see any cancer in his lungs which is where it seems to Metastasize first in these cases
Petie came out of a rural Georgia shelter a while back and is just the sweetest little man, always happy to give kisses and meet strangers. He needs you to cross everything and/or day a prayer for him today that he is strong and comes through surgery.
