I updated his fundraiser because his surgery is $2500 >his bloodwork today and another cytology was $250.00
Remember Sirius Black. Dumped like garbage in Bullitt County KY. Left at the truck stop like his life was not important and he was garbage to die. Lucky for him the director of animal control would rush to get him and get him to us to save his life. His journey has been a very long one. We have had so many medical issues and health concerns and surgery and surgery needed still... But look at his pictures and his journey.. We have traveled and met with numerous wonderful vets and specialist and oncologist. Shewww weeeee we are tired but we have come so far and put in so many hours and medical stays and visits. We have fought infections lung ear eye and skin.. We have grown exhausted with baths and still been a love bug through it all..
Sirius is a sweet handsome boy who has been dealt in his life a terrible hand. He has clearly never known an easy life. His body shows that his teeth, his paws the thick skin that happens from years on a chain around his neck. Teeth that are broken and infected. The ears that have been infected so long they are like heads of cauliflower as they are called. Yet he has renamed so kind and gentle and loving. He has grown a little jealous and so well deserved since clearly he has unlikely ever known the love he should have known.
We might not have been able to save him in his early life but we can promise him the remaining journey in his life will be warm when cold out and cool when summer heat hits and it will be with a full belly when hungry and a kind hand everyday. There will be no sleeping in the bugs and never wearing a prison cold heavy chain. He will never plead god for the bugs to stop biting or cool water to sip, he will never wonder if he will be fed again. He will never live in fear of being dumped and never fear a hand again.
He will find a soft bed and compassionate embrace and tender strokes and loving kisses. He will know a yard full of toys and a deck to relax in the sunshine and a door that allows his precious body to come lay on a soft chair or sofa or bed.
We have explored surgeries and specialist and spent many thousands of dollars. We have had to move slowly to be safe about this boy and allow him to take one step and procedure at a time. We are here at the final road we hope and pray and final surgeries will be done all at one time. Blue Pearl will be doing all his final medical needs. Today he had lots of testing done to lead him to his final road and journey to health and life pain free and cancer free.
Sirius is now scheduled for extensive final surgery date of 01/16/2020
We must raise the funds for his final surgery to have this surgery and remove the masses and tumors and cancers before they go any further and all the doctors and surgeons feel that he will make it if done now.
We must fill this before surgery date. Please I am begging you if you read this donate please... We will post pictures to follow his final surgery as well. He has come so far and deserves even if now in his golden years to know years of love.. He will not have that time without immediately finishing his journey.
He is worth it all. Every mile, every hour of driving, every bath. Every tear we have shed. He is worth it to love him and treat him like the precious life he is rather than the horrible way he was treated before now. Help me show him the truth about his value and that is that he is wanted, he is treasured and his life matters. #SiriusBlackMatters
