Help me spread love, hope and healing in Peru!

Hello Friends and Family,

Physician Assistant school has brought me an abundance of knowledge and clinical competencies. It has also opened my eyes to healthcare disparities within our communities and beyond. As I approach my clinical year, I look forward to expanding my medical knowledge while addressing health concerns and continuing to serve others.

I have been offered an incredible opportunity through Gardner-Webb’s Physician Assistant Program to do Medical Missions with a non-profit healthcare clinic called CerviCusco. This organization offers free comprehensive medical care for women and children in Cusco, Peru. Sadly, the incidence of cervical cancer in Peru is 50% more than the South American average; every day more than 10 women die from cervical cancer, a disease that is 100% preventable given the proper access to medical services. I feel called to help lower these staggering statistics by helping provide medical care for those in need while at the same time spreading God’s love, hope and healing in this part of the world. While in Peru, I will work alongside a team to provide preventive health screenings, vaccinations and treatments to thousands of impoverished indigenous women, children and men.

I will embark on this Medical Mission this summer for a total of 2.5 months. I anticipate medical supplies, transportation, lodging and food expenses to be $8000. Would you consider partnering with me in this medical mission? The generosity and support I receive from family and friends is all that will enable me to embark on this journey.

I also ask for your prayers for our safety, health and for God to use us in powerful ways. As Matthew 5:16 says “…Let your light shine before others, that they see your good deeds and glorify your heavenly Father.” I am praying and believing that this mission trip will be a seed for supernatural and generational impact.
