Update: Poor Zeke, who was so badly torn up is not out of the woods yet. He has been anemic, and during his most recent vet visit, it was discovered that the bones in one foot have been shattered. He'll need to have at least one toe amputated as soon as he is healthy enough.
We at NCHS never turn away a dog with medical needs, no matter how severe they may.
Zeke and Poppy are just two of our most recent "dogs in need" and since we took them, we have had another dog with a broken pelvis, a dog with a life-threatening, completely prolapsed uterus, and have made more visits to the emergency vets and specialists than we can count. We always take a leap of faith, but we are committed to helping the helpless and the neediest; no animal should die if we can help...not on our watch.
Our medical fund is severely depleted and we are asking for your help. All donations go to Newnan Coweta Humane Society, and all are tax deductible. We will not give up on these animals, and we hope you will help us in our goal. No amount is too small, and all donations will go directly to the medical needs of our dogs. We are committed to giving our rescue dogs the same care we would give our own pets...after all, those who have no one else, are truly, "our dogs".
