People come here on the hardest day of their year — a diagnosis, a fire, a funeral they can't afford. We built Social.fund so that when their community answers, every single dollar reaches them.

Why we exist

Asking for help is hard enough. Most people who publish a fundraiser have already exhausted every other option — savings, family, credit. Then they discover that the platform hosting their story wants a percentage, or quietly asks their friends and family to add a “tip” on top of every donation.

We thought that was the wrong way to treat someone at their lowest. So we don't do it. We never take a cut of a donation, and we never ask donors for anything extra. What their community gives them is what they get.

No fees, ever

We take nothing from a fundraiser's donations, and we never ask their donors to chip in toward our costs.

Open to anyone in need

Medical bills, a pet's surgery, a neighbour who lost everything, a stranger in the news. If the need is real, there's room here.

Funded by kindness

We stay free because people who believe in this choose to support the platform directly — not because we take from those who need it.

We want to be completely straightforward with you, because trusting a platform with something this important deserves honesty.

What we are
  • An online directory and listing platform. People publish their fundraiser here so others can find it and choose to help.
  • A place where donors pay fundraisers directly, through the fundraiser's own payment account.
  • A free service — we never take a fee or a cut.
What we are not
  • We are not a fundraising service, and we do not run, manage or promote campaigns on anyone's behalf.
  • We are not a charity, trust, foundation or nonprofit organisation, and we are not a registered charitable body of any kind.
  • We never collect, hold, process or distribute donations. Money does not pass through us at any point.
Because listings are published by the fundraisers themselves, we cannot independently verify the stories, documents or circumstances described in them, and a listing appearing on Social.fund is not an endorsement or a guarantee by us. Please read a listing carefully and use your own judgement before giving. Donations made to a listing are made directly to that fundraiser, are not tax‑deductible through Social.fund, and any refund is a matter between the donor and the fundraiser.
