From a safe home to a tent forgotten under the bombs… My name is Salim, and I lived with my family in a modest house in Gaza. We didn't have much, but we had security… until that tragic day. In an instant, everything turned to dust. Our home was completely destroyed by the war, and all we have left is a flimsy tent, our only refuge from the brutality of the world. Today, we survive under a plastic sheet, our hearts filled with fear and uncertainty. But the most painful thing is the situation of my disabled brother, who depends on a wheelchair. Before the war began, we were about to travel abroad so he could receive the care he so desperately needed. Hope was close, and his smile was beginning to return. But the war ripped everything away from us… even hope. Today, I write to you with a broken heart, asking you not to let our story be forgotten.
