Frente a las restricciones necesarias para evitar contagios de COVID-19, muchos artistas afines al festival se han visto afectados a no poder ejercer su profesiÃ³n como solÃan hacerlo: en las calles, las plazas, los teatros, y los festivales.

Because of the needed restrictions to avoid exposure to COVID-19, many artists close to the festival have been unable to practice their vocation as they were used to: on the streets, plazas, theaters and festivals.

Pensando en estas dificultades nos hemos organizado para ofrecer el arte por medios virtuales. Lo hacemos de forma gratuita, pero necesitamos de tu voluntad para continuar haciendolo. Justo ahora es cuando el arte nos sirve como defensa, refugio, y sanaciÃ³n del cuerpo y espÃritu.

Thinking on these difficulties, we have organized to offer art through virtual means. We do it freely, but we are in need of your willingness to help in order to continue doing so. At this very moment is when art helps us as a defence, refuge, and healing of body and soul.

El Abre Boca Afro Montuvio desea ser un vÃnculo para que nuestros artistas no pierdan la esperanza y sostengan su talento y su arte en tiempos difÃciles.

The Afro-Montuvio "Appetizer" wishes to be a link so that our artists don't lose hope and can continue to uphold their talent and art in hard times.

Estamos realizando presentaciones mediante plataformas como zoom y facebook live, coordinando entre artistas y editores de forma voluntaria, para llevar a tu casa arte y cultura.

We are holding shows through virtual platforms like zoom and facebook live, coordinating with artists and editors in a volunteer manner to bring art and culture to your home.

Esperamos que este sentimiento de colaboraciÃ³n inunde tu corazÃ³n y apoyes estos esfuerzos colectivos por ver la belleza que nos rodea.

We hope that this collaborative feeling fills your heart and you can support these collective efforts to see the beauty that surrounds us.
