Poor Ricky was an unwanted dog in an overly-full animal shelter in the state which ranked number 5 in the list of most animals euthanized last year. At 24 months, he's still a puppy at heart and he had spent his life never knowing a loving home . The volunteers felt so sad for him because he was the longest resident at the facility and they were worried about his future. But they don't need to worry anymore, because the Rescue Army came to his aid and he's headed for a chance at a happy, loving new life with help from our friends at Windsor/Essex County Humane Society and Dahlonega Animal Rescue Society Inc. Thanks to everyone who helped show this boy that there's life beyond the shelter.
