HAFIZ QUR'AN PROJECT - YOU CAN SPREAD THE HEALING, GUIDANCE AND LIGHT OF THE QUR'AN
Since its revelation, it has been the hope and practice of countless Muslims to commit the Qur'an to memory, forever engraving it upon their hearts. Therefore, UK Islamic Mission is proud to present our Hifz project.
With this campaign, we are aiming to enable five children of Gaza become a Hafiz. A full sponsorship costs $1,680 for the whole programme, which most children complete in about 3.5 years. Alhamdulillah, donors have generously contributed to complete over 3 full sponsorships so far. To all those who contributed: Jazakum Allahu Khairun.
The Beloved Prophet (PBUH) said: "The best among you is the one who learns the Qur'an and teaches it." (Sahih Bukhari)
Empowered by the Quran, these children have received the healing, guidance, and light of the Quran and given it to their families and communities, becoming leaders and role models.
You can give the Nur of the Holy Book of Islam, and much more. Past support has enabled thousands of Gaza children to become a Hafiz-ul Qur'an, like the hafiz in the video above, all reciting the Qur'an beautifully with tajweed. Alhamdulillah.
The Beloved Prophet (PBUH) said: “The one who was devoted to the Qur’an will be told [on the Day of resurrection:] ‘Recite [the Qur’an] and ascend [in ranks] as you used to recite when you were in the world. Your rank will be at the last verse you recite.“' (Abu Dawud and At-Tirmidhi)
CARING FOR CHILDREN
By contributing towards a hafiz programme, you will also be performing a much loved Sunnah of the Prophet (PBUH): caring for children in need, especially orphans. Every bit of your support helps to provide for the basic needs of a child, including shelter, food, clothing, shoes, general education and family support (but not necessarily all of these for one child - it depends on each child's needs).
The Gaza strip is one of most difficult places to be a child today, but with your help, it can be much easier. You can change a young life through the Qur'an and extra support.
Let's spread the healing, guidance and light of the Qur'an, and its true message, among the Ummah and throughout the world!
LET'S UNITE TO SPREAD THE LIGHT OF THE QUR'AN !
Alhamdulillah so far, generous donors from 14 countries have contributed to this fundraising effort: United States, United Arab Emirates, Denmark, Britain, Australia, Canada, Sweden, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Singapore, Trinidad & Tobago, Malaysia, Austria, Switzerland and Kuwait. Jazakum Allahu Khairun to all of you who contributed.
The Prophet (PBUH) said: “Convey from me, even a single verse." (Bukhari) Imagine how many verses a hafiz can convey in a lifetime! All this will bring Sadaqah Jariyah for you from one donation, even a small one, Alhamdulillah.
SOME WORDS OF THE BELOVED PROPHET (PBUH) AND ALLAH (SWT) ABOUT THE QUR'AN
“Recite the Qur’an, for it will come as an intercessor for its reciters on the Day of Resurrection.” (Muslim)
"[This is] a blessed Book which We have revealed to you, [Oh Muhammad], that they might reflect upon its verses and that those of understanding would be reminded." (Surah Sad 38:29)
“Allah has His own people among mankind.” They said, “O Messenger of Allah, who are they?” He said, “They are the people of the Qur’ān, the people of Allah and those who are closest to Him.” (Ibn Majah)
“A person who has nothing of the Qur’an in his heart is like a ruined house.” (At-Tirmidhi)
"Whoever reads a letter from the Book of Allah, he will have a reward. And that reward will be multiplied by ten. I am not saying that “Alif, Laam, Meem” is a letter, rather I am saying that “Alif” is a letter, “laam” is a letter and “meem” is a letter.” (At-Tirmidhi)
“A Book We have sent down to you so that you may bring forth mankind from the darkness into the light..” (Surah Ibrahim 14:1)
