Joe is a 6-month old kitten that has been in CaRMaH's care since the beginning of August. He was pretty severely malnourished and underweight when he arrived, but he started to thrive once vetted, and had a consistent source of food and love in his foster home.
At his neuter surgery on 9/15, it was discovered he had an enlarged left kidney. Blood tests and a ultrasound were needed, and the determination was made that his ailing kidney needed to be surgically removed. Luckily his right kidney functions just fine, and he will be able to live a normal life with the one remaining kidney.
The great news is Joe had his kidney removal surgery on November 18th and is back with his amazing foster mom and doing well! Spy his adorable flower cone in the photo below!
In order to continue providing lifesaving care to cats and kittens like Joe, we need your help. This Giving Tuesday, we're asking for donations to help pay for Joe's vet bills. We truly appreciate all of your support throughout the year and we couldn't do it without you. THANK YOU!
