My sick child is in danger. Help me please

To anyone reading this. I would like to say hello before I start my story, and before I tell you a bit more about the worst thing that happened in my entire life. My name is Jurica fayz, and my wife is Edita. We live in Croatia. Two of us waited impatiently for one really special day in our lives, like many of you did, or maybe you will in future, and that was a day when our child was expected to be born.

Unfortunately, our joy and happiness turned into sorrow, anger and pain quickly after our boy was born..

22th of January 2021 our Karlo was born, with a serious brain damage, as a consequence of oxygen deprivation, or anoxia.

Just to make everything worse there is a fact that with a more careful scans, and with more attention from the team of our doctors, that could be avoid.

My wife Edita had a high-risk pregnancy since day one, as she had E.Coli infection, as well as previous miscarriage.

Because of all the circumstances we decided that we will do most of our scans and check ups in private clinic.

Everything was going smooth until 8th month of pregnancy when they told us in the private clinic that the labor must be inducted urgently, because of the oxygen deprivation and irregular heart beat. But that could be done only in the public hospital, since the private clinic is not adequately equipped.

Upon arrival to public hospital my wife barely had a proper check up, very unprofessional and careless from side of even three different doctors. Same people decided that her condition is all right, there is no room for panic or need for the labor to be inducted straight away.

So she stayed hospitalized for a week.

After 2 weeks, coming in for a CTG control, irregular and low number of heartbeats was noticed again, and she was sent for an urgent C-section labor.

Again, after initial feedback that everything is fine, later that day we were informed that Karlo has to be sent urgently to see a specialist in hospital in Zagreb, our capital.

We were completely lost and confused, it felt like a nightmare.

Upon coming to Rebro hospital in Zagreb, we started taking news about Karlo like we are being stabbed with a knife – serious brain damage, damaged center of motion, eyesight, cerebral palsy etc.

We were in complete disbelief, desperately looking for some kind of good news, but unfortunately ultrasound brain scan and MRI of brain just confirmed the worst.

Without hesitation or delay we start with researching our possibilities, and found the best team of experts for our little boy. Our hopes were dashed once again very fast after we found out the price of the treatment, which is well over 15000$.

The mention above team of experts workplace, along with the best possible equipment to follow up the treatment of our little boy is in the Acibadem hospital in Instambul, Turkey.

We cannot let Karlo to travel alone without his mom. No matter how small and helpless he is, one thing he knows very well is when his mommy is near him. To make that happen we need to collect over 20000$.

So as a young father of a little boy, I would like to sincerely ask every mom and dad who reads this, every person that knows what does it mean to love someone, anyone unconditionally, to help us to save our little treasure. To give him a chance to live a life that every child deserves.

If anyone wants to help our boy, but feels a need to have a better look or proof before donating we can easily provide a copy of every Karlo’s diagnose and control check-up until present moment.
