Fundraising for Destitute dogs and horses

Milly's Place is a 501(c)(3) equine rescue located in Valley Center California.

We specialize in rescuing and rehabilitating horses, mules and donkeys who have been neglected, abused or abandoned.

AMERICA’S FORGOTTEN EQUINE ⬇️

Horses, donkeys and mules get sold into the auction circuit when they are no longer wanted. These can be ex-racehorses, ex-rodeo horses, brood mares, carriage horses, commercial trail ride horses, pasture pets, ex-Amish work horses or buggy horses, etc. Traders flip these horses for profit (like used cars) and sometimes will sell by the pound to sl*ughterhouses across the borders. Donkeys’ skin is sought after to make a traditional Chinese tea called ejiao, byproducts put in things like dog food or treats. Many European countries consume horse meat as well as Japan and Korea. It’s a dark and seedy, sad industry with no accountability, a lot of abuse, neglect and inhumane practices.

You can follow along each animals journey from rescue to rehab to adoption
