Look at these precious faces. These faces are dogs that had no hope until Second Hand Dog said they could come to Rochester to find forever homes. All they need are sponsors to pay for their golden tickets to ride from GA to Rochester.
Arther is the second longest resident at the shelter. When he came in he had heartworms. The shelter had a generous donor that paid for him to have slow kill heartworm treatment...and now he is heartworm negative! If he isn't adopted soon, he could be euthanized for space just because he has been there for so long.
Arther is so friendly to everyone. He has had many different kennel mates. They have all been adopted or gone to rescue, but Arther is still there. It is so hard to find adopters and rescues for the bully dogs. We want to be able to commit to him....offer him a safe haven and the hope of a real home.
Then there is Harley. Look at that goofy guy. His brother, Jackson, came to SHD a few months ago. Jackson has, already, been adopted. We promised the shelter that, when we could fund a ride for Harley, we would not leave him behind.
OK, then there is Thor. This dog is still a puppy. He is gorgeous. We want to pull him to make sure that he doesn't end up living on a chain in NE Georgia.
Please, no amount is too small! Every penny raised, here, will be used for transportation and vetting of these 3 dogs.
