Happiness is a warm puppy, the very wise Charles Schulz once wrote. And it will always be true. Teddy and his three siblings were warm and safe at the shelter, it’s true, but warmth isn’t just about temperature and safety. It’s about love and companionship. It’s about security and knowing that you have a place to spend the rest of your life. But Teddy was still waiting, along with his brother Topper. You see, they were surrendered by their owner, along with five other dogs, as if they were disposable. It helped create an overpopulation crisis at this small shelter. No one wants to feel unwanted, but these pups all know that just because they were tossed aside by one family, it doesn’t mean there isn’t another one out there for them. Teddy is just 20 pounds of sugar, sweet and cuddly. And, like his now five-month-old siblings, he’s been working on his leash manners. They’ve all come so far. And now, because of the awesome Rescue Army and Diamonds in the Ruff MO, they get another step closer to that ultimate destination, a loving family.
