Help my family rebuild a new home

Dear friends,

We want to share something very personal with you—something our family has been carrying in silence for too long.

As many of you know, our family lived in Gaza, in a small but beautiful home filled with laughter, love, and memories. It was the place where we celebrated birthdays, shared meals, argued over silly things, and dreamed about the future. It was our safe place… until everything changed.

When the violence escalated, our neighborhood became unrecognizable. Day after day, we watched the fear in each other’s eyes as the sounds of bombs grew closer. One night, everything we feared came true. Our home—the place that held our entire life—was destroyed. In a single moment, we lost our shelter, our belongings, and the memories we had carefully built over years.

But the hardest part wasn’t losing the house.

It was watching my family suffer—seeing their hopes crushed, their hearts heavy, and their spirits fade. We tried to stay strong for one another, but some nights the sadness felt too heavy to carry.

Today, we are alive, and for that we are grateful. But we are struggling. We are displaced. We are trying to rebuild our lives from nothing. And as much as it hurts to admit… we cannot do this alone.
