Bella's Knee Surgery

Hi, my name is Bella, and I'd like to share my story. In December of 2020, I suddenly and tragically lost my (human) mom, and my home, and I had nowhere to go. Second Hand Dog Rescue took me in, along with a few of my health issues. They helped me get a mammary tumor removed (benign), and I got spayed, and I had the 1st of 2 knee surgeries. I've had torn ACL's in both knees, and a luxating patella, for years. Unfortunately, we just found out that the knee surgery failed. However, I just saw a surgeon who specializes in TPLO surgery.  She said I'm a great candidate, and she said she could do both knees at the same time. The estimate for that procedure is $8,000. The 2-week in-patient physical therapy I will need is about $3200. It's a very expensive procedure, but the success rate is 94% and I'm very hopeful that I can soon walk again, with less pain, because I love going for walks more than anything! So, Second Hand Dog Rescue, together with my foster family, have put together this fundraiser in hopes of getting some help towards the cost of the procedure.
