RT this if it's possible. We're buying a real world storefront so Yara can support her relatives over the summer. She's been singlehandedly supporting her family with the help of your donations, but we’ve worked together to create something sustainable!
We did old fashioned organizing in her neighborhood the last couple months - reaching out to personal contacts and investigating from there.
Yara is starting a booth, attached to a nice hairdresser in a beautiful Gaza mall. She's got the goodwill from years of just being in the community - so she's not paying any extra for the space, and she's getting wholesale on the supplies.
The only thing missing is the funding.
We already raised her $100, and now I would like to raise $350 so that she's not wrestling against a language gap every week to survive. Twitter already is bad for your mental health, it's ruinous if you're in such dire need. This is going to buy, move, and stock a physical booth, and a few wholesale perfume products to stock it.
For people who don't know, Yara was already studying business management and accounting before her father's illness pulled her out of school, so we are feeling good about all the technical details of running the store.
Your assistance here is going to help Yara get a stable floor of income for minor expenses like food and medicine, so that's she's not endlessly wrestling a language gap on Twitter for money from week to week. Be part of a collective effort to improve someone's life!
