For the past fifteen years, he has been running a shelter in his backyard in an effort to help the many stray dogs in His House. There are currently 40 dogs living at Gosai's house with him. 
Many of these dogs are terribly sick with disease and mange. They require medicines daily. Several of these dogs have been in road accidents and have been rescued and provided medical attention through Gosai's efforts. He is the first person locals call when there is a dog in need.
We are looking to raise money to help with the neutering and spaying of dogs, medicine for mange, backyard fans that run 24 hours each day and repairs for his backyard facilities where he has built kennels for dogs that are recovering from operations or have given birth to a litter and need time to heal.
Gosai's deals with obstacles on a daily basis. He often faces challenges from neighbors and family members, a lack of financial support and sometimes feels alone in his efforts but he has never lost hope, making sure his dogs are fed one way or another. This is our opportunity to boost his morale so he can continue this herculean task, feeling the love and support of a community.
The American dollar goes a long way in India. To give you an idea, here are some figures:
Mange medicine for one dog: $3
One backyard fan: $20
20lbs of dog food: $15
Spaying/Neutering of one dog: $30
Any amount donated will be spent on improving the conditions of these street dogs and making sure neutering and spaying reduce the number of strays needing help down the road.
However, the biggest problem here in India is that there is no way to help Gosai by raising funds on fundraising websites for a little care for these dogs. Because there is no service available on any of the many sites in India like Gofundme or Facebook Fundraiser that are more popular. And the general public here does not think of animals in such a way.
