ABC Basset Hound Rescue is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to help New York State’s abused, abandoned and unwanted bassets find their second chance forever home. ABC exists solely on monies from private donations and fundraising events held throughout the year. 2015 was a busy year for ABC with 102 dogs being rescued and 108 dogs being adopted. Many of ABC’s dogs arrive with some sort of medical problem which needs to be addressed before they are placed up for adoption. It can range from something as simple as a spay/neuter, to as serious as cancer. As a result, funds are always needed for vet bills and supplies necessary to keep saving New York State’s homeless hounds. In 2015 we spent $65,000.00 on vet bills to help these Basset Hounds.
