Sancho is a 10-12 yr old, 5 lbs chihuahua with severe heartworms. He is on heart mediations for pulmonary hypertension bc the heartworms have caused so much damage. Sancho was saved from Fulton Animal Control back in November and spent a week in the ER suffering from pneumonia. We didn’t think he would survive but he is a fighter!
Sancho had his first of 3 heartworm treatment shots on Monday. He will get the other two in 4 weeks.
Cost for this treatment is $500 not including the echocardiogram, X-rays and week in the ER we are still paying off.
