Marlene takes care of over 90 dogs in her private animal shelter in Lima, Peru. She saved them all from the street. Many were sick and needed medical help. Unfortunately, she has only few supporters. In order to be able to look after her dogs, she is dependent on donations. Marlene accepts any job she can get. She also sells self-made items on the street. However, this is no longer possible since COVID-19. Her income is nowhere near enough to maintain her animal shelter. Besides the costs for food and the veterinarian, the utility costs for the animal shelter have to be paid. The cost of food alone is $ 2000 (7400 soles) per month. Now the neighbors have also complained about the noise of the dogs and Marlene has to pay a fine of $ 1400 (4800 soles). If she can't do that, her dogs will be taken away from her. Please help Marlene. Every contribution counts.
