Help us get urienju a new heart

Hey, I’m a first-time dad who is 19 with a daughter who’s in the NICU and has currently been here for 10 months. She has a trach and also a G-tube.

Urie will be transitioning home soon and due to her conditions ill need to have more time with her and feel safer knowing she’s with me and is in good hands.

Urie Has, Atrial Septal Defect (ASD): A hole in the septum (the wall separating the hearts two upper chambers. It’s congenital meaning, she was as born with it and it was supposed to close on its own but if not. She’ll have to undergo surgery later on down the line to get it closed up.

Vacterl Association: “Vacterl” is an acronym for for a cluster of congenital birth defects. In that acronym Urie has: Cardiac Defects (a hole in her heart), Renal Anomalies (a hoseshoe kidney) & Limb Anomalies (her right thumb doesn’t have a bone)

Asplenia: The absence of the spleen. The spleen is the organ used to fight off infections and bacteria. Since Urie was born without a spleen she’s at an increase risk of catching an infection and bacteria faster than most due to this, she has to take a daily dose of amoxicillin.

Pulmonary Hypertension: The blood pressure in arteries of her lungs are abnormally high.

Making sure I am able to get her the correct care she'll need at home is the most important thing! We would really appreciate the it. Thanks!!
