HELP SMITHSON MICHAEL OFF THE STREETS

My name is Noe, and I'm organizing this fundraiser for a true American hero - Michael.

Michael is 40years old, a United States Marine Veteran who proudly served from 2016 to 2021 with 2 tours overseas. He served honorably and came home ready to start his civilian life.

But the transition home was harder than his deployment.

After struggling with PTSD, job loss, and rising housing costs, Michael lost his apartment 6 months ago. Today, this Marine who once served our country is homeless here in San Diego, sleeping in his car behind the VA clinic.

I met Michael while volunteering downtown. He didn't ask for money, he asked if I knew where he could charge his phone for a job interview. That humility hit me hard.

I asked him if I could create this fundraiser for him. He said yes, but only after | promised him I wouldn't make it about pity, but about a second chance.

We are raising $20000 to get Michael back on his feet

100% of every dollar raised will go directly to Michael. I will be handling the withdrawal and paying his landlord and expenses directly with him, and I will post every receipt here as an update.

Michael is already working with the local VA support team and has a job interview for a warehouse position next week. He is sober, motivated, and just needs a hand up.

He served us. Now it's our turn to serve him.

Even $5 gets him closer to a bed, a shower, and a door that locks.
