My name is Ciarra , I’m 19 and I’ve been having a hard time saving money for college. I live with my mom who has been struggling as well to make sure we still have a home and food on the table. She has to support both my grandmother and I. I have tried talking with other family members to see if they could help even in the slightest but unfortunately they’re either in a similar position as us or they have kids of their own that they are trying to put through college. I am very grateful to my Grandmother who has been sliding a couple dollars into my shoebox every now and then. She doesnt know that I know and im very grateful but its still not enough. After I graduated highschool I had to defer a year and work my butt off before college the following year. So far I’ve accumulated $5,000 but its still not enough. I thought I’d be able to make at least half my tuition for this winters classes but we had a few hiccups with car troubles so part of my tuition had to go towards that. I have really been trying and trying and I need some help. I have always had a passion for horses and I was accepted into a school, Meredith Manor International Equestrian Centre, in West Virginia that helps students become the best they can be in both Teaching riders and Training horses. This is something I’ve always dreamed of doing. This school will certify me in being a teacher for students who want to learn and grow with their riding. I will also be certified in training horses to be ridden in different styles. The best part of this school is that they have job placements once you’ve graduated, so I’ll be able to start my career right after college. I really need this school and I need help in getting there. I’ve received about $5,000 in Federal student loans but it seems as though that's all they are going to give me. So far I have $10,000 but I still need another $20,000 to pay for the first year including supplies. I need some help paying for college and truly anything helps. Thank you.
