Raising Money for Band Instruments

My name is Makai and my Bar Mitzvah is June 9, 2018. For my Bar Mitzvah project I have chosen to raise money to buy instruments for the Basalt Band Program. I have been a part of this school band for 3 years and have loved learning to play my trombone “George”. Being a part of band has meant so much to me and I want to help others who may not be able to afford an instrument and therefore would not be able to join band.

Recently, I found out that many of the student instruments that the school has been able to loan out to low income students are now so old that they cannot be used anymore. As many of you know budgets for music are being cut throughout the country and therefore buying new instruments to replace the old ones is not feasible.

Please help me raise money to purchase some student instruments so that more kids can learn to love playing music the way I do. Any amount is helpful. The money will be donated to the Basalt Band Boosters who will oversee the purchase of the instruments that will be most needed at the school.
