For the past 20 months I have been taking family and individual portraits of homeless and low-income families in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. In this time frame I have managed to provide over 300 printed and framed portraits, thanks in part to my church Peace Lutheran, and a grant provided by the Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation. The grant funds of $2000 I was awarded have been utilized and I am in need of funding to keep this wonderful mission going. Please take time to follow the link below to read more about my story:
I am hoping and praying with your help that I can take this mission to more families and individuals in need within my community. I donate my time and talent in taking these portraits, editing them, ordering prints, buying frames, framing each portrait, and (the best part of all) then giving those framed portraits away! Any funds raised would be used to pay for the printing costs and frames, and possibly equipment upgrades or equipment replacements if something fails. I have a full time job that is not a professional photographer so all my studio equipment was purchased on my own and is not professional grade, but it gets the job done.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
